Technology Architecture
The blueprint for the systems, data and infrastructure your organisation will run on for the next decade.
A plan for your systems that still holds together as you grow
CIOs and IT leads need a plan that holds together as the organisation grows, instead of a collection of systems bought one at a time. Government programmes need systems that can talk to each other across agencies. Buyers increasingly write alignment with a national enterprise architecture and interoperability framework into their requirements.
Who it is for
Assess what exists, design the target, plan the route
TpISENT (SL) Limited assesses what you run today, designs the target state, then plans the route and supports delivery. TpGroup's co-founder and CEO, Tamba Lamin, is an enterprise architect with twenty-five years of architecture and delivery behind him. He co-founded and was lead architect of Sierra Leone's open election data platform (2018), and has led enterprise architecture work at a global professional services firm. We favour open-source building blocks and contribute back.

Questions about Technology architecture
What is technology architecture?
Technology architecture is the blueprint for the systems, data and infrastructure an organisation will run on. It shows how they fit together today, how they should look in future, and the order in which to get there.
Who provides enterprise architecture services in Sierra Leone?
TpISENT (SL) Limited, TpGroup's computing and information systems company in Freetown. TpGroup's co-founder and CEO, Tamba Lamin, is an enterprise architect with twenty-five years of architecture and delivery experience, and his profile is on our team page.
Who is technology architecture for?
CIOs and IT leads who need a plan that holds together as they grow, and government programmes that need systems that can talk to each other across agencies.
What do we get at the end of an architecture engagement?
A current-state assessment, a target architecture with standards, and a roadmap with governance. We can also support delivery of the roadmap if you need us.
Have you designed architecture for a public institution?
Yes. For Njala University and the University of Sierra Leone we proposed an open-source multi-site architecture, one codebase with separate databases, in place of the commercial platform originally specified. We also designed the architecture and data model of Sierra Leone's open election data platform.
How is technology architecture different from technology consulting?
Architecture produces the design: the target architecture, standards and roadmap for your systems, data and infrastructure. Technology consulting is wider advice on strategy, procurement and digital projects. They are often used together.
Can you design around the systems we already have?
Yes. We begin with an assessment of what exists, then design the target state and plan the route from one to the other.
