TpGroup (Touchpoint Group) is a group of companies in Sierra Leone working in technology, sustainable real estate, and tourism and hospitality. Its history began in 2000 with Tamba Lamin, and it is based in Freetown. Its legal name is TpGROUP (SL) Limited. It is also known as Touchpoint Group, Touchpoint Group Sierra Leone, TpG, TpG Sierra Leone. 37 products, services and solutions; 7 operating companies; 4 estates in development; 10 TpEMIS institution editions.

## From one desktop to three sectors.

It started in 2000 with one computer and a printer in a bedroom in Calaba Town. Twenty-six years later, TpGroup builds software, eco-communities and heritage journeys.

- **2000, The beginning.** Tamba Lamin starts in his bedroom with one desktop computer and a printer, offering desktop publishing to friends and family.
- **2001, Memaa Information Technology.** Memaa Information Technology is founded in Calaba Town, training clients in Microsoft Office and providing desktop publishing.
- **2003, First office.** Internet café and telephone centre services added. Moves into its first office at #1 Alpha Terrace, Robis, Calaba Town.
- **2008, Going international.** SaloneTech Business Solutions, LLC incorporated in New York. First website launched at salonetechnology.com. Mentors final-year ICT students from Njala University and Fourah Bay College. Starts work with SLGHA, now FambulTik.
- **2009, LAM-TECH.** LAM-TECH Consulting Enterprises registered in Freetown, replacing Memaa Information Technology. LAM-TECH Foundation incorporated in New York. First higher-education computer laboratory project.
- **2011, Schools online.** Launches a free secondary-school website platform at schools.edu.sl.
- **2012, Room to grow.** Moves from Mamba Ridge, Blackhall Road to larger premises at 84 Kissy Road. Launches the Global Innovation Institute and the MBHS Digital Lab.
- **2013, Solar and software.** Partners with Aleutia Computers; judges at Innovate Salone. Launches solar-powered computers, a solar-powered server and the Solar2Africa product. Launches the OGI Digital Library project and the FHM Lab. Develops and licenses petroleum distribution and insurance CRM systems.
- **2014, Digital labs.** Launches the Prince of Wales School Digital Lab. Fingerprint and RFID time-clocking; an integrated automated biometric crime database. Collaborates on the launch of Weex in the UK.
- **2015, Golu.** Launches the Golu Digital Lab in August.
- **2016, Open business.** Human resource management and SMS gateway systems developed and licensed. Launches The Open Business Reviews (OBizR) web and mobile apps at the British Council, Freetown, in December.
- **2018, TpISENT.** Rebrands and incorporates TpISENT (SL) Limited. Launches the Sierra Leone Open Elections Data Platform at the Independent Media Commission, and presents it at the International Open Data Conference in Buenos Aires. Launches the "Made in Sierra Leone" creative and branding project; invited by IOM to the Sierra Leone Diaspora Agribusiness Forum.
- **2019, Homecoming.** Organises "The Next Step" Homecoming 2019–2020 trip. Incorporates TpISENT in New York.
- **2020, TpESTATE.** Completes "The Next Step" trip. Incorporates TpESTATE and GpFenam, and starts building the first estate at Mile-36.
- **2021, Kent.** Incorporates the Kent, Mile-36 and Gullah Paradise eco-friendly communities, and starts building at Kent. TpISENT adopts a new strategy focused on education technology.
- **2022–24, Focus.** TpISENT focuses on education technology; TpESTATE on alternative building technology; FambulTik on heritage tourism. Launches a digital exams infrastructure product and makes DSpace and Moodle hosting affordable for institutions. A solar-powered open-education library-in-a-box for schools, with The Village Link.
- **2026, Opening.** Four new digital products launch in November: SaloneExplorer, TpHospitality, TpEHealth and TpERP. The Eco-Living Oasis at Kent opens on 14 November.

## Former names and web addresses

- Memaa Information Technology: Memaa Information Technology was founded in 2001 in Calaba Town, training clients in Microsoft Office and providing desktop publishing. LAM-TECH Consulting Enterprises replaced it in 2009.
- SaloneTech Business Solutions, LLC: SaloneTech Business Solutions, LLC was incorporated in New York in 2008 and launched its first website at salonetechnology.com.
- LAM-TECH Consulting Enterprises: LAM-TECH Consulting Enterprises was registered in Freetown in 2009, replacing Memaa Information Technology.
- LAM-TECH Foundation: The LAM-TECH Foundation was incorporated in New York in 2009.
